Taiwan Center, Inc., which is located in Flushing, Queens, was founded in 1987 by Taiwanese Americans in the Greater New York area as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This was the first Taiwanese community center founded in the U.S. and is now one of the largest non-profit organizations serving Taiwanese community members through cultural, artistic, and educational programs that introduce and promote Taiwan and Taiwanese American culture.
